THE FOUNDER OF PRIME MIND: DR MISIA GERVIS

Misia is a sport psychologist who has been an integral part of the development of the field having worked within professional sport and academia her entire professional life.

As a founding member of the British Olympic Association Psychology Advisory Group and a senior consultant to the FA for many years, Misia has discovered the tools and techniques critical to the mental wellbeing of athletes and players.

The psychological impact of injury

We are experts in supporting athletes who are long-term injured. We know that this can be the most vulnerable time for athletes, and we believe that a holistic approach to rehabilitation that includes both physical and psychological support to ensure a complete recovery.

Sport Psychology Training

We offer CPD opportunities for trainee sport psychologists providing additional learning opportunities to support both BPS and SEPAR training routes.

Abuse in Gymnastics

We are proud of the work that we have done with the British Athletes Commission to support gymnasts who have experienced abuse at the hands of their coaches. We have delivered many online group therapy sessions to help gymnasts work through the scars left by their experiences. We work tirelessly to raise the issues and challenge coaches to understand the damage that they do to young peoples lives on a daily basis.

Sport psychology in elite football

We are experts in the psychological demands of football. We have worked with The Football Association delivering coach education as well as the Senior Women’s National Team working at international qualifiers, European and World Championships. We have experience of working at the highest level in football where the focus was on creating a performance environment of excellence. We have also developed psychology programmes in football academies Queens Park Rangers FC working with players, coaches and support staff.
